Dear Lifehacker, My router sucks. My connection goes wonky once every few days, and I have to unplug the router and reboot it (I believe this is called a hard reset) to fix the problem.
- My R7000 router has recently started dying multiple times per day, requiring a restart to get anything to reconnect. I am on the latest firmware. I am on the latest firmware. I backed up my configuration, performed a factory reset, and reapplied the configuration.

- I was able to see it externally, but it kept dropping out almost once per day. I eventually went back, fixed port 32400 and set it to that and after a restart of the server I've had no more problems. I wouldn't rule out the port configuration being OP's issue as well.
